FOR USE WITH DStv SAT>IP COMMERCIAL INSTALLATIONS ONLY
The USB 2.0 to Fast ethernet dongle is designed to enable compatibility between DSD4140 HD (8S) decoders and the DStv Sat>IP solution.
This 8S is the latest model of the HD single view decoders and replaces the 5S model, previously used in DStv SAT>IP installations. It has all the features customers are used to, including HD and Dolby Digital capability, an 8-day TV Guide, Parental Control and an easy to use remote. This decoder has no smartcard and is packaged with an HDMI cable, RCA cable, B7 remote control and power supply.
INSTALLATION INFORMATION
When installing an 8S Decoder in a commercial DStv SAT>IP network the USB2000 – USB2 to LAN adaptor dongle is required as the 8S decoder does not have an onboard LAN connection. Please note that the USB2000 has been specifically designed to work with the MultiChoice DStv 8S decoder in DStv SAT>IP deployments. USB to Ethernet adaptors acquired from other sources may not be compatible with the 8S decoder.
